Privacy Policy

Skip the Book is a book-summary app for iPhone and iPad, narrated by a character called the Librarian. It is built to know as little about you as possible. This page says exactly what that means.

No account, no sign-in

The app has no accounts. You never give us a name, an email address or a password. We cannot identify you and do not try to.

What stays on your phone

Your saved books, saved ideas, reading positions, text size and light or dark setting are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us. Deleting the app deletes them.

What the app downloads

On launch, the app fetches the current catalogue and book text from our content server so new books appear without an app update. That request contains no personal data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may log the request's IP address and time for operational purposes, as any web server does; we do not use those logs to identify or track anyone.

Purchases

The full library is unlocked either by a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, both made through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card or your Apple ID. To remember that you own the library, and to let you restore it on a new phone, we use RevenueCat, a purchase-management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier for your app installation and the purchase receipt Apple issues. That identifier is not linked to your name, email or any other account. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

No tracking, no advertising, no analytics

The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs and no third-party trackers. We do not sell, share or trade any data, because we do not hold any that is about you.

Children

Skip the Book is rated 17+ on the App Store for its language and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be at this address with a new effective date.
